How I build it
Deployment starts with the application's process map: web server, API, database, queues, schedulers and resource-heavy workers. I define how each process starts, communicates, logs and recovers.
Reevera uses Docker, PM2 and Nginx for a platform with API, SSE and worker roles; rendering is isolated from the API. Qbitcoin work included Linux infrastructure across Oracle Cloud, AWS and Azure.
Engineering decisions
A reverse proxy should expose only intended endpoints, terminate TLS and handle long-lived responses correctly. Backups need a restore plan, not just a scheduled command.
I size infrastructure to measured workload and choose between a VPS and managed services based on operational capacity, cost and reliability needs.
